How Much Does Solar Power Cost?-Find Out How Much Does Solar Power Cost?
Do you want to know how much does solar power cost? With the economy being in a mess, and the cost of commercially available power sky rocketing, it's enough to drive you crazy. Solar energy is one of the few things that are freely accessible right now to the mankind and it can be tapped to generate electricity and save 00s of dollars in the long run on electric bills. No matter where you live in the world, there is a solar system for you at a price that you can afford.
Portable Solar Power Cost
Portable units can be taken for a camping or a similar outing. A small and compact version which would cost around 0 is good enough for charging a mobile phone or an I-pod. A slightly larger system that would cost up to 00 will enable you to run a small television or a radio on your outings.
How Much Does Solar Power Cost
Solar Heated Pools
Do you know heating a swimming pool for summer would cost you as much as heating your home throughout the year! That's a significant amount of money to be spent on power. With the advancement in technology a couple of pool options are available for pool owners. A solar pool cover is the simplest of the lot and can be used in sync with a solar pump. The price of these would set you back by anything within the range of 00-00.
Solar Hot Water
A solar water heater works on the principle of pre-heating the water up to 80 degrees Fahrenheit before it passes onto your normal water heater thus reducing the amount of energy your heater uses. A typical solar water heater would cost approximately 00.
Off Grid Solar Power
If you've got a cabin in the woods or you just had enough of paying those electric bills, you can choose an off grid solar power system. These systems function independently and are best suited for remote areas that have little to no utilities available. The solar power cost of these units starts at around 00 and can be as high as 00.
How Much Does Solar Power Cost
Grid Tied System
It's preferred by maximum homeowners today. Using it you will stay connected to your local power company's grid. It's going to be benefiting you in two ways; firstly you will never stay without power in case there are prolonged periods of no or little sunlight. Secondly, your power company might purchase the extra energy that you would produce. Isn't that great! Saving on electric bills and along the way getting checks from them!
If you are on a budget its pretty hard to purchase a solar power system, as these cost way too much. No need to despair, do you know you can make your own solar power system? Using raw materials that can be easily found at the local hardware or electrical store you can make the same ready made solar power system for yourself...for less than...drumroll please..... 0!
Just look around for a good DIY guide that will show the exact steps that you need to follow to make your own solar power system. Prefer to go with one that has videos included with it and free 24X7 online technical support.

How much does solar power cost in australia ?
I am considering getting solar power for my house. Does anybody have an appox idea how much it would cost to fit my house with this. We just have a typical 3 bedroom house. I have also heard that if your solar panels produce more energy than what you use, it will go back into the power grid, and the energy company will pay you. Is this right? If so any ideas on how much you get back? Thanks
The amount you get back (and yes if you put power back into the grid they will pay you) depends exactly how much you put back, either way, the power company will be paying you and some money is better than no money.
Solar modules come in two distinct categories – crystalline silicon and amorphous silicon thin film. Both amorphous and crystalline technologies are commonly used in efficient grid connected and stand alone installations.
Mono and poly crystalline modules usually have 36 solar cells in a 9 x 4 matrix connected in series to provide an output voltage suitable for battery charging. A typical module will provide a peak power output voltage of 17V and output current of 4.7A under optimum conditions, giving a rating of 80 Watts peak (Wp). Modules can be connected in series or parallel to form an array to provide higher voltage and current outputs as required.
Crystalline solar modules are covered with tempered glass on top and a tough ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) material at
the back. The glass and backing material protect the solar cells from moisture.
The best way to find out is contacting environmental groups or even the power company themselves. Costs vary, and so this is an issue that is best left when you find the appropriate group.
I bought some small power generation equipment from a wholesale site, if you think they meet your requirements, you can try, because they are really cheap
joule is a unit of energy.
You need it per watt, unit of power. Reference has US$4-5 per watt for the panels, and for a complete installation about $8 to $12 per watt. This is the initial cost and installation costs.
reference:
The solar energy industry typically uses price per Watt Peak (Wp) as its primary unit of measurement. The prices for high power band (>125 watts) solar modules has dropped from around $27/Wp in 1982 to around $4/Wp today. Prices higher and lower than this are usually dependent upon the size of the order.
As a rule of thumb, the solar module represents 40-50% of the total installed cost of a “solar system”. This percentage will vary according to the nature of the application. A complete solar system includes all the other components required to create a functioning system, whether it be to feed energy in to the grid or to be used in stand alone off-grid applications. In 2003, a residential solar system costs about $8,000-$12,000 per kWp installed.

How much does solar power and wind power cost per kWh?
I know the cost of solar pannel .Each watt cost you only 4 U.S $. No maintenance cost.Life of Solar panel is more than 20 years.
The cost varies according to the circumstances but as a ball-park figure, you could assume that solar and wind power (energy actually) costs up to 5 to 25 times the cost of coal and nuclear energy. These two forms of energy are not suitable for making a worthwhile contribution to public electricity supplies BUT they cannot be beaten in remote locations.
